ABOUT THE PROJECTS
THE CAMPBELL, 2017
- Landmark project breathing new life into an legendary bar location, recreating it's magic while also modernizing and revamping it into a modern classic.
- The space, which is divided into three parts that convey three different experiences, retained its old world grandeur. First up: the Campbell Bar—a former office that belonged to railroad executive John Williams Campbell. Then there’s the old taxi stand, which will be named Campbell Terrace. And of course, there’s the Campbell Palm Court, a small offshoot of the main bar.
- Project Features:
- Specialist artists to refinish ornate wood, walls and ceilings to stay within landmark guidelines, schedule requirements and budgetary restrictions.
- Working and coordinating with the MTA on a daily basis.
- MTA accidentally flooded the space 2 weeks before opening. I went with the vendor and designer to source the wood in person within 24 hours and got my teams to work nights and weekends to install new herringbone patterned flooring to match the original flooring and maintained the opening date for the client to avoid embarrassment of missing the opening date.
LEX BAR, 2010
